Born in Aldershot in 1937, Tony Winning now lives in Launceston, Cornwall.

A self taught artist, he was greatly inspired by his Art teacher at his comprehensive school
(Mr Shaw), a character he has never forgotten. Tony is a former member of the Bayswater Arts Group and the Free Painters and Sculptor's Society.

Tony currently works from his Garden Studio at his home.

He has recently been concentrating on his paintings of African scenes, but continues to produce his very distinctive silhouette scenes.

Tony's paintings use enamel paints sprayed and brushed onto wood to create a truly eye catching effect which will not fade in direct sunlight and may be cleaned using a damp cloth. This means the paintings stay as rich and vibrant as the day they were painted.

Tony also produces unusual plaster relief designs, ideal for homes with a
modern decor.
